it appears out of nowhere
as clear as the sky
it's what I rememeber
of a time hidden inside

when clouds weren't there
a good time we shared
so cold now on my own
I'd like somebody to show

as it always happens
clousds get in the way
guess livin' like that
will never come again

Looks like yesterday

clouds are breakin', sun's touchin' my face

 

standin' in the window, I hear it tearin''  at the frame

 

it's

 

wantin' to see inside

 

where emptiness is awake, 'cause you went when I slept

 

leaving me with a note, a reminder I failed

 

and

 

nothin'

 

remained

 

 

just one of those things, happens ev'rytime

 

startin' out to win, we ran out of time

 

and

 

time

 

creates and seperates as it has now

 

 

 

he'd been waitin' such a long time, you felt you owed him

 

your life

 

 

 

lookin' back it seems only yesterday

 

we

 

promised faith

 

yes

 

it

 

looks like yesterday

 

so

 

now I want to feel good, throw a switch

 

hear old music, but it doesn't give me that old feelin'

 

again

 

somehow it sounds different

 

if

doesn't want to be played, I'm searchin' for reasons

 

as

 

always I find a lot, none of them so serious

 

they coudn't be solved, looks like yesterday she made me believe

 

she'd never leave

up an' went when I slept, leavin' me a note

lot of reasons I never knew we had

 

 

looks like yesterday, she lay next to me

 

lyin' back in to arms, takin' a rest, still she went when I slept

 

destroying my confidence

Heat wave

 

 

 

 

where are we now

 

weather's coolin' down

 

a

 

heath wave took command, hidden in the land

 

our

 

minds filled with hot sand,  just took her hand

 

something burst, no clouds as far as

 

I

 

could

 

see

 

 

caught in a web of emotion

 

nature took its course as of old

 

poor boy, rich girl, lifes miles apart

 

a

 

heathwave took command

 

strange things happened  , led by an unseen hand

 

a

 

passion flower grew, she wouldn't stop it

 

from

 

comin' to bloom

 

this

 

heath wave laid  a scent of true command

 

 

 

weather was coolin'  down, took her back up town

 

in

 

her little sportscar, with a distant plate

 

 

we were strangers again, said good bye with

 

a

 

faint little smile

 

 

nothin'to keep us, nothin' enough to stay

 

she

 

drove out of my life, never bothered to look twice

 

 

it

 

happened again after so many years

 

a

 

passion flower growing, takin' her time

 

she

 

would stop here

 

a

 

heath wave on, takin' command

 

forcing us to grow another flower
