Sleep

I go to sleep
when the candles die
it's quite late
but I don't mind
as long I'm sound of mind

and my sleep is a quiet one
I'm fully relaxed
I dream of yesterday
they give me a hiding place

I awake
with questions in my mind
but they don't mind
I let them ride
and put them aside

I still sleep in the present
and I don't mind
let the past ride
let it pass me by
